After the Results of the NIFT Entrance Exam 2025?
The NIFT Final Result 2025 was declared in June, after the completion of CAT, GAT, Situation Test (for UG), and GD/PI (for PG). Students with valid CMR were invited to register for online counselling.
The counselling process is divided into multiple rounds to allocate seats at various NIFT campuses across India. Candidates are advised to stay updated on the official portal for real-time allotment notifications and round-wise updates.
NIFT 2025 Seat Allotment Round 1 – Full Schedule & Process
Step 1: Online Registration (June 24 to July 01)
- Only candidates with valid CMR can login.
- Visit to the website nift.admissions.nic.in .
- Pay the non-refundable counselling registration fee (₹5,000 approx).
Step 2: Upload Required Documents
- Upload scanned copies of academic and identity documents.
- The document verification was open until July 2, 2025, 6:00 PM.
Step 3: Choice Filling & Locking (June 24 to July 04)
- Candidates must choose preferred campuses and programs in order of priority.
- Last date to lock choices is July 4, 2025, at 12:00 Midnight.
Step 4: Seat Allocation Results for Round 1 (July 07, 2025)

What After Seat Allotment? – Willingness & Admission Fee
If you’re allotted a seat in Round 1, you must complete the following steps between July 07 and July 10, 2025 (12:00 Midnight):
Submit Willingness: Freeze: Accept and exit future rounds, Float: Accept but want to participate in next rounds for upgrade, Decline: Reject the allotted seat.
Pay Admission Fee: Approx. ₹1,80,000 is payable to confirm the seat, Payment to be made online on the same portal, Failure to confirm by the deadline will result in cancellation of allotment.
NIFT 2025 Counselling Starts from July 12
After Round 1 online procedures, physical or hybrid counselling for remaining rounds will commence from July 12, 2025. This will include spot counselling, waitlist management, and on-the-spot seat allocation for vacant seats across campuses.
